Pennsylvania update
Prelicensing education was removed in April 2025.
Under Act 142 of 2024, effective April 29, 2025, candidates no longer have to complete prelicensing education before the exam. The same act added a 3-hour ethics requirement within the 24-hour CE requirement for resident producers.

Pass the exam with PSI
Schedule through PID's PSI site, in person or remotely. - 03
Apply on Sircon or NIPR
Right after passing — you can even apply at the test center. Resident producer fee: $55. - 04
Register and complete IdentoGO fingerprints
Only after passing the exam and applying. Fingerprint results without an application are not accepted. Pay IdentoGO at the center. - 05
PID review
Submission is not approval. PID no longer mails paper licenses; print yours online once issued.
