Pass the Life exam with PSI
Life exam series 13-31, $50 (the combined Life, Accident & Health exam 13-33 is $59). Apply within one year of passing. - 02
Apply through NIPR
The non-refundable license fee is $120 per license class. - 03
Register and complete fingerprints
Residents submit fingerprints through DIFI's electronic process. Book the Fieldprint appointment only after submitting your NIPR application; an FBI processing fee is paid to the Arizona DPS. - 04
DIFI review
Submission is not approval. DIFI decides whether to issue the license. - 05
Complete annuity training if needed
Life producers who want to sell annuities must first complete four hours of Arizona-approved annuity training.

What license do I need to sell final expense insurance in Arizona?
Final expense is life insurance, so producers generally need an Arizona producer license with the Life line of authority.
Does Arizona require a prelicensing course for Life?

Who administers the exam and what does it cost?
PSI. The Life exam (13-31) is $50.
When do I get fingerprinted?

How long does an Arizona license last?
A new license runs three to four years, ending the last day of your birth month; later renewals are four years.
What CE does Arizona require?
48 hours every four years, including 6 hours of ethics.
